Nudestix Stilleto vs Nars Cruella Red Lipstick

    Nudestix Stilleto review

Sometimes the idea of a right lip shade can be complicated, as this always depends on the kind of vibe you’re going for. However, when it’s about making bold statement, nothing beats deep, intense red lippies that can go well with any outfit. Red lipsticks with blue undertones also make my teeth look whiter😁. My top favorite has always been the cult classic NARS Cruella with its gorgeous dark red hue that can suit any type of skin tone including that of vampires. One of the major turn-ons would be its pencil applicator that glides on smoothly, the aid of a lip balm isn’t even necessary.

    NUDESTIX STILLETO

Now comes the fresh player, Nudestix. I would say this brand is one of my favorite additions to Sephora family and although they’re known for “Go Nude But Better” make up theme, it’s good to know they got what-every-girl-must-have list checked…. a proper and stunning RED lipstick, just because 🙂

As of this writing, their only red lipstick shade Stilleto is not officially out in the market yet but I was able to secure one during the founders/ sisters’ recent event in Sephora ION, Singapore. If you’re Sephora’s black card member, you only needed to purchase any 1 Nudestix product and they’ll give you Nudestix Stilleto lip pencil for free 🙂 Continue Reading

My Missha Essence & Night Repair Ampoule Story

    Missha First Treatment Essence Review

It was Year 2011 when I got introduced to what the million dollar skincare industry call “facial essence”. I was peer pressured to use SK II’s Pitera and to be honest I really didn’t understand the science behind treatment essences. Fast forward to growing older, more mature and aging skin, I got re-acquainted to using facial essences through a colleague who has admirable skin that can hypnotize people.

Long story short, Missha First Treatment Essence back to back with Missha’s Time Revolution Night Repair Science Activator Ampoule have become my daily skincare routine and this newfound relationship is unbreakable.

Skin experts and industry bloggers have recommended continuous usage of 28 days before I can really see the effects. I mentioned this on some of my posts but if you’ve just stumbled upon my blog, please know that I don’t really praise products whose abracadabra didn’t work on me especially when it comes to skincare. I take my skin situation seriously cos while cells aging cannot be fully reversed, through the right skin products the visible signs can still be slowed down.

Missha won me over after first use 🙂

That may sound a little exaggerating but that’s literally the only way to put it. I now understand what the Missha rave is all about. I admit I was a little skeptical at first, but after applying the essence onto my face followed by the night ampoule, I remember waking up to a healthy-looking, supple and glowing fez. Instant results. The hype is realz. Continue Reading

    The Battle of Pink Lipsticks

Stila Stay All Day Lipstick review

I love the classic red lipsticks but this time I’m sharing my take on pink lipstick shade as I think this color can be a bit challenging to pull off. On days when I feel that “red” can be too much, a pink lippie is an alternative, instant pick-me-upper. I’ve kept each individual product review rather quick and straightforward cos with the myriad of pinks available in the market, I’m sure this list will go on and on.

    Review of Pink Lipsticks

    1. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

YAY – creamy-matte, highly pigmented and lasts the whole day, no retouching needed (doesn’t come off when you eat or drink or even shower, it stays put)

Stila Stay All Day Lipstick review

NAY – I’m not a huge fan of liquid lipsticks although this is a great choice when you’re travelling and the last thing you want to remind yourself about is to “retouch”. I wore this during my trip to Japan on their coldest season, hassle-free I just have to smile 🙂

Nudestix Lip Cheek Pencil – Mystic Review

    Nudestix Make Up Review

Nudestix MysticThe newest addition to Sephora Singapore’s make up line counters ~ Nudestix. I am a fan of nudes and the no-make up, make up lifestyle so the chemistry with Nudestix was spot-on. My favorite shade so far is Mystic.

nudestixThere is so much rave about this brand not only because of the creamy shades that incredibly stays on for hours but also its super sleek case with a built-in mirror.  It’s like literally all-in-one from lip, cheek, eye shades to sharpener and mirror – very on the go.

Peter Thomas Roth Mask A Holic Kit Review

Peter Thomas Roth Mask a Holic Review

Hey there lovelies, I waited for at least 4 weeks to create a review for Peter Thomas Roth Masks as I want to see the effect on my skin first and so far PTR doesn’t disappoint.

    The routine I took was:

Mon and Fri: Irish Moor Mud (wash off with warm water after 15 mins) + Cucumber mask (Overnight)

Tues and Sat: Pumpkin Enzyme Mask (wash off with cool water after 5 mins) + Cucumber mask

Wed, Thurs, Sun: 24K Gold Mask (wash off with warm water after 30 mins) + Rose Stem Cell mask (overnight)

To me, every single mask is a total win.

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Mask Review Cucumber Gel Mask – this kept my face hydrated especially after using the highly effective exfoliating Pumpkin Enzyme mask. This is also good for under eye puffiness and if I let it stay on my face overnight, I wake up to a cool, smooth and most importantly, soothed skin.

Laneige String Long Lash Mascara Review

Laneige String Long Lash Mascara Reviews

Laneige String Long Lash Mascara ReviewI didn’t expect to be reviewing any mascara brand as I never had one that instantly developed mutual understanding with my eyelashes….until I met Laneige String Long Lash Mascara.

I was at Sephora today and was torn between Laneige and Shu Uemura’s Tokyo Lash. This is my first ever Laneige purchase as I couldn’t really bring myself to using their famous Face Cushions (?).  So yeah, finally a mascara that gives me defined eyelashes without clumping. I love how its mini brushes separate my lashes and coats them without smudge, giving a natural look. I’m a happy girl. Thanks Laneige and may this new found relationship last.
