Our Magical Mt. Bromo and Sukamade Jungle Trip

    Mt bromo

Wow. Truly East Java has a natural charm to the soul. From being greeted with a scattering of star trails, milky way unveiling itself as we hike up Mt. Bromo’s crater, to the vast Mars-like sea of sand with wind-swept volcanic ash cloud and the joy of releasing baby turtles to Indian ocean… certainly made this jungle trip a one-of-a-kind experience. Because magical feelings are best expressed in motions, here is a glimpse of our experiences in a travel video – best viewed in HD.

First of all, we would like to thank Anjang of Bromo Ecotourismhttp://www.bromoecotourism.com for being an amazing, patient, game-on ranger, tour genius turned good friend who have made our first ever jungle trip such a surreal experience. Anjang  was with us throughout the 6 day fun, from the long mountain hikes to bumpy trails and city highways up to our way back to the airport. Thank you for taking great care of us. We will forever treasure your kindness. Thanks for bringing your sidekicks Yugi and Adi too. Continue Reading

Branded Items I Bought From IMM Outlet Mall with SGD 250 Budget

    IMM Outlet Mall

IMM Mall in Singapore is home to more than 80 branded outlet stores and is located within walking distance from Jurong East MRT (free shuttle bus is also available). For those who are planning to visit Singapore, IMM is a must-go for a wise shopping experience from designer clothes, bags, shoes, sporty get ups, watches, scents etc at pocket-friendly prices (discounts are up to 80% off all year round).

To give you an idea of the kind of bargains (especially for ladies), here is my 250 dollar story,  some of the shops I visited and how I saved SGD 600+ from what could have been an almost SGD 1000 total cost.

    1. Charles and Keith – I would say that Charles and Keith shoes are very lasting particularly their office shoes. One thing I adore about this local brand is their fashion-forward styles and practical designs. charles and keith imm mallBelow are six pairs I instantly fell in love with.  I bought 2 pairs amounting to SGD41

priced between 19 to 24 SGD

priced between 18 to 21 SGSD

    2. COACH – I didn’t buy anything from Coach but here are some of their lovely pieces

Nudestix Lip Cheek Pencil – Mystic Review

    Nudestix Make Up Review

Nudestix MysticThe newest addition to Sephora Singapore’s make up line counters ~ Nudestix. I am a fan of nudes and the no-make up, make up lifestyle so the chemistry with Nudestix was spot-on. My favorite shade so far is Mystic.

nudestixThere is so much rave about this brand not only because of the creamy shades that incredibly stays on for hours but also its super sleek case with a built-in mirror.  It’s like literally all-in-one from lip, cheek, eye shades to sharpener and mirror – very on the go.

Peter Thomas Roth Mask A Holic Kit Review

Peter Thomas Roth Mask a Holic Review

Hey there lovelies, I waited for at least 4 weeks to create a review for Peter Thomas Roth Masks as I want to see the effect on my skin first and so far PTR doesn’t disappoint.

    The routine I took was:

Mon and Fri: Irish Moor Mud (wash off with warm water after 15 mins) + Cucumber mask (Overnight)

Tues and Sat: Pumpkin Enzyme Mask (wash off with cool water after 5 mins) + Cucumber mask

Wed, Thurs, Sun: 24K Gold Mask (wash off with warm water after 30 mins) + Rose Stem Cell mask (overnight)

To me, every single mask is a total win.

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Mask Review Cucumber Gel Mask – this kept my face hydrated especially after using the highly effective exfoliating Pumpkin Enzyme mask. This is also good for under eye puffiness and if I let it stay on my face overnight, I wake up to a cool, smooth and most importantly, soothed skin.

Laneige String Long Lash Mascara Review

Laneige String Long Lash Mascara Reviews

Laneige String Long Lash Mascara ReviewI didn’t expect to be reviewing any mascara brand as I never had one that instantly developed mutual understanding with my eyelashes….until I met Laneige String Long Lash Mascara.

I was at Sephora today and was torn between Laneige and Shu Uemura’s Tokyo Lash. This is my first ever Laneige purchase as I couldn’t really bring myself to using their famous Face Cushions (?).  So yeah, finally a mascara that gives me defined eyelashes without clumping. I love how its mini brushes separate my lashes and coats them without smudge, giving a natural look. I’m a happy girl. Thanks Laneige and may this new found relationship last.

    Project: Gardens by the Bay

To new year and new beginnings, Happy 2016 🙂

I should admit that my 2015 was a hectic year. It was a year of major changes in my life – transition to a new work (Ogilvy and Mather) and the overwhelming wedding preparations (new surname)…I couldn’t really give time to traveling and the fun of capturing places and moments.

I’m ringing my 2016 right by revisiting that fire that I kept unlit for a year ~ videography. My first project is Singapore’s magical Gardens by the Bay. This was shot using DJI Osmo (my first road testing shots) and Go Pro Hero4. Hope you’ll like it

Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream VS 3CE Back To Baby BB Cream

Perter Thomas 3CE Back to baby review

Hey lovelies, how’s the Christmas shopping coming along so far? I dropped by Sephora today to re-stock my two favorite beauty creams before the year ends and while the prices are still alluring. I’m back with another review to prove that being a woman is far from easy.

Yes the two beauty creams that have become my staples are Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream and 3CE Back to Baby BB Cream. I understand it’s not an apple to apple comparison as CC creams and BB creams have different main functions and marketed for separate beauty issues. For me though, the differences are very subtle as both function to blur imperfections and give me that dewy, glowing finish I love. Let’s start yeah?

    1. Peter Thomas Roth CC cream (SPF 30) – retails at SGD85 in Sephora

I must say that for the quality of this product, the price is actually a bargain. This is the only brand that convinced me to use a cc cream. It doesn’t accentuate pores or give you those foundation lines.

Product Description: An all-in-one anti aging treatment, sunscreen, complexion corrector, moisturizer, and tint is formulated with arbutin and camu camu, an Amazonian superfruit that has 30 times the vitamin C of an average orange.

I am extremely happy with this cream. It gives me that glowing effect and not the greasy feels. With the amazing coverage, the overall touch is still very light on the skin. There are also times when I prefer the matte finish and I achieve that by using 3CE’s loose powder (because 3CE solves everything hah) Continue Reading
